Within The Flesh

Filmed in my hometown community of Woodside, Clarendon, Jamaica, the film intertwines a visual visitation to the people, places and things tied to a fading period in time and my memory; a story of my late grandmother in the last weeks before her death, being visited by the spirit of her unborn first child in physical form. Intertwined with re-imaginations of my past matrilineage, the film acts as a bridge between body and memory, a tie that exists “within the flesh”.
